Indian Restaurant Spice Lounge in Mildenhall, Suffolk is in line for a coveted national award after being named as atiffin club regional finalist in the Tiffin Cup, an annual competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.

Nominees are selected by the public and then put forward by their local MPs. Spice Lounge Restauarnt was nominated by Matthew Hancock, the Conservative MP for West Suffolk.

One restaurant from every region is then shortlisted and invited to participate in the Grand Final cook-off event held in the House of Commons, judged by MPs and a celebrity panel, with the proceeds going to charity.

Spice Lounge owner Jueb Ali said “I didn’t believe it when I read the letter, it was completely out of the blue.  It is a great honour to be a regional finalist and to represent our region.  This recognition is thanks to our customers and MP Maththew Hancock and a testament to the dedication of our staff to provide the best food and service to our loyal customer base”.

The Grand Final of the Tiffin Cup 2015 is on Tuesday 27th October 2015.
